Alloys 4750, 48, and 49 are all shielding alloys. 4750 Alloy has high-initial permeability, maximum permeability, and low core loss. Alloy 49 is a nickel-iron alloy that has the highest saturation flux density out of any other nickel-iron alloy. It’s a versatile alloy that can be used in many applications such as instrument transformers and magnetic shields. It’s moderately resistant against weather and moisture corrosion. These alloys are often used in the Aircraft and Aerospace and Telecommunications industry.
