1010 Carbon Steel Alloy
Steel Metal Alloy Grades, Properties and Machinability of 1010 Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel Alloy 1010, a miscellaneous grade metal alloy, has relatively low strength. It has a machinability of AISI 1010 carbon steel and good formability and ductility. Through using conventional methods, it can easily be formed and welded and can also be quenched and tempered. As far as its applications go, it’s mainly used on cold-headed fasteners and bolts. Due to its density of around 0.284 pounds per cubic inch, this alloy is commonly used in the construction industry.
